Clinical Affiliations and Partnerships
Lahey Health and CareWell Urgent Care launched a collaborative affiliation that increases access to health care for its patients. CareWell treats patients for any non-life-threatening—but still urgent—illnesses or injuries, including colds, infections, fractures, cuts, rashes, allergic reactions and the flu. They also offer select preventative care services, including flu shots, vaccinations and sports physical exams, and have on-site X-ray and lab capabilities.
In the new partnership, CareWell clinics will be able to refer patients to Lahey Health specialists and hospitals when necessary. Lahey Health’s hospitals, conversely, can refer appropriate patients to nearby CareWell centers, reducing wait times and costs for non-urgent patients.
Lahey Health’s clinical affiliation with CVS Caremark advances our efforts to improve access to the highest quality and coordination of care at a sustainable cost for patients and the communities we serve. This affiliation provides access to clinical support, medication counseling, chronic disease management, and wellness programs at CVS/Pharmacy stores and MinuteClinic, the retail health care division of CVS Caremark.
Lahey Health’s partnership with Honoring Choices Massachusetts incorporates advanced care planning into the clinical settings at Lahey Health’s acute care hospitals and affiliated provider and physician groups.
Lahey Health expanded its collaboration with St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire, by entering into a new preferred clinical affiliation. Under the expanded clinical affiliation, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, as a leading tertiary center, will serve as St. Joseph Hospital’spreferred health care affiliate for patients who require tertiary and quaternary specialty or sub-specialty services above and beyond what is available locally.
